Who and what?
From a farming back ground, Rob Ward grew up in Shropshire, UK. The family farm grew and supplied soft fruit nationally to M&S, TESCO’s and WAITROSE. Early 1990s, Rob set up a Farm Shop and Garden Centre called Green Fields, this business is still thriving today in the Telford, Shropshire, UK.
This where he could combine his passion for food production and retailing, by connecting direct from the farmer to consumer.
He has work in production and distribution in a wide range of regional and national food products, from Supermarkets to local food markets.
After being featured in a BBC1 programme, in the 2005, a number of food producers and retailers start to ask Rob to help them in developing their business.
Following winning a scholarship, awarded by Nuffield Farming Scholarship Trust, he travelled the world during 2008 to 2009 covering over 80,000 miles. Studying : The latest ideas in ‘Food Innovation and Retailing’. This was sponsored by HSBC Bank Plc.
This study tour he set-up the Food Marketing Network to offer the food industry a practical and simple way to help food and framing businesses keep up to date with the latest ideas and opportunities in the food market.
In the last ten years, Rob has created, built and sold three highly successful food production and retail business, providing him with a wealth of experience – but also making a great deal of money. He now invests his time helping other food businesses in learning from his successes (and avoiding his mistakes) to fast track their success, through the Food Marketing Network.
This is the fastest growing, international network, dedicated to the food industry.
Rob is regularly booked as an expert on issues relating to food marketing and new product development, as a speaker at events and for one to one business development advice.
